Medallion Milestone Samples

Medallion Milestone Samples

Anytime I start a quilt, the hardest decision is always color. There are so many combinations out there I want to try! For my Medallion Milestone quilt, the color choices were influenced by my newborn daughter. But I know not everyone will be making this for a baby. So I put together a few color combinations that I think look great on this quilt. I also coordinated it with Kona cotton swatches to give you an instant palette! Below is a muted Southwest inspired color palette. The cinnamon … [Read more...]

Equinox Table-Runner Pattern

I’ve been waiting to share about this fun news and I’m so excited that today is the day! My table runner pattern, Equinox, is one of 13 patterns included in the new book, Table-Runner Roundup: 13 Quilted Projects to Spice Up Your Table. One of my favorite things about this book is that it is a compilation so you get an amazing variety of styles and techniques in one place. Each of the designers included did an amazing job and all of the runners look soooo gorgeous. Here is a pic of a few … [Read more...]

Introducing Picnic Play!

I'm so excited to be kicking off the Quilt Theory blog hop!!! Each day, one of the Quilt Theory designers will share more about her quilt and give away a fabulous prize. And I mean fabulous! My giveaway is for 7 yards of fabric!!! (all the heart eyes!) Is it wrong to want to win my own giveaway?! New Quilt Pattern – Rosewood!

I'm thrilled to be releasing my new quilt pattern, Rosewood! Rosewood is a super beginner friendly pattern that uses fat quarters (or fat eighths for the small size) to create a large faux medallion pattern. My favorite thing about this pattern is it is all made from a single block design! So if you've been looking for a simple pattern with a big impact, this one is for you. Another thing I love about this pattern is that is has large blocks, so the fabric is the star. Do you ever have fabric … [Read more...]

Meet my newest quilt – Scrappy Geese for Quilt Theory

I'm so excited to share my latest quilt design, called Scrappy Geese! It is a super fun, scrap friendly, colorful flying geese inspired quilt. I designed it for a new quilt pattern company called Quilt Theory. The story behind Quilt Theory is a cool one... In February 2016, a group of quilters connected to cultivate relationships with others running businesses in the quilting industry. A tight-knit group was quickly woven together as we shared successes, answered questions, and supported one … [Read more...]

Baby Quilt Design Contest

Baby Quilt Design Contest

I love contests and I love designing quilts, so when I saw that Threadbias was having another quilt design contest, I jumped right in. I normally design my projects on paper or take my ideas into photoshop, so it was a fun change of pace to try out their tool. Here's my baby quilt design, I call it Pathways. I think it would look super cute with this fabric line and would also be striking in bold, saturated solids. I've never made a quilt based completely on my own design before. It's … [Read more...]
