The Creation of Clamshell Jamboree

The Creation of Clamshell Jamboree

One of my goals this year is to slow down and take the time to document my quilt making process. Of course, I love taking the finished quilt "glamour shots", but especially as my makes become more complicated, I really want to make sure I capture things from start to finish. This is mostly for me to remember things, but hopefully it will be interesting to someone else too :) My newest quilt, Clamshell Jamboree, took about 10 weeks to complete (which is fast for me!) and is my most intricate … [Read more...]

Introducing Star Street!

I am beyond excited to share this new pattern with you. Best of all, it's FREE to all my newsletter subscribers. Read on and I'll give you all the details! This quilt started because I wanted a quick, yet adorable make for my newest niece on the way! Her nursery is a mix of timeless, and modern looking furniture, along with lots of nature elements. I thought this mix of Rifle paper co, Cotton & Steel Flight bees and Add It Up basics, and some solids from my stash came together perfectly in … [Read more...]

Festhalle Quilt finish

Festhalle Quilt finish

I only made one quilt in 2018 and it's a special one! This quilt was made for a new baby cousin in the family. I was hoping to have it done by the time she was born but with my morning sickness, I could only do a very little bit at a time. Luckily, I received an adorable photo of my cousin on the quilt and she'll fit on it for quite a while. Phew! This quilt was unique in the fact that it was made entirely from scraps left from other projects. I had a lot of triangle trimmings left over … [Read more...]

My giveaway is for 7 yards of fabric!!! (all the heart eyes!) Is it wrong to want to win my own giveaway?! One of the hardest things to do while designing for Quilt Theory is waiting to launch a design. There is so much work that goes into producing a pattern after the quilt is finished, but I'm so … [Read more...]

S.W.A.K. Table Runner

I always love a good quilting book, so I was really excited to hear that Christa Watson was releasing a new one, called Piece and Quilt with Precuts, filled with new patterns and lots of quilting techniques to try. (Want a chance to win an e-copy!? Find out how below!). Through Christa's previous books and her Craftsy class, I've learned so much and couldn't wait to see what she has been up to. I think her instructions are some of the best out there, especially for newer quilters who are looking … [Read more...]

Corner Crest – New for Quilt Theory

Today it is my turn on the Quilt Theory blog hop! Meet my newest pattern, Corner Crest! (Oh and be sure to read to the end of the post to enter to win the pattern plus some yummy fabric!) Corner Crest is a little bit buttoned up and then a little bit wild... Maybe a bit like me haha. There is definitely a lot of structure to the pattern, but there are also many unexpected angles. Making patterns for Quilt Theory is always a great challenge to fit an interesting design in a small … [Read more...]
